Granting Decorating Permission To A Friend/Neighbour
Are you struggling to decorate your perfect farm? Has your creativity disappeared? If this is the case, then you can get some help from a friend..
For quite a few months, it has been possible to give a friend permission to move things on your farm. As the saying goes...two heads are better than one, so why not invite a friend, over to your farm, to give you some much needed help. Also, if they should own, any of the new "designer hands" , they will be able to use them, whilst helping you on your farm.
This could mean that although, you might not have been able to afford them yourself, you can get the benefit of them, by letting another person who has them, come to your farm and help. So, to summarise, it is possible to create the layering effects by getting someone who has one of the new hands, to help you. If they are not a neighbour (but have to be a friend), you can still invite them to your farm, by giving them your farm link.
At the moment, to grant decorating permissions to another person.....that person has to be a friend or neighbour. Therefore, if you want to help a member of this group, then you will need to become friends. Once you have done this, you should use the memcache link, in order for Farm Town to recognise your friendship immediately. If you don't, it can take several hours for recognition to occur. I will give you the memcache link, at the end of this document.
Instructions for Granting Permissions.
1. When your friend has arrived on your farm, you will need to click on their avatar.
2. Click on "Design This Farm Together" and you will get another box which says...."Allow user to move Non- Farm Cash Items around in this farm. (You have to be present in your farm for this to work. To cancel just navigate away from your farm)." You should click the green tick.
3. Your friend will receive the following message " Hi there, do you want to help me design this farm by moving items around ? Sure lets do it/No thanks I am busy now" They should click "sure lets do it."
4. You will then receive a message saying " Sure lets do it.....Great thanks." Click on "Great thanks."
5. Your friend will now get this message "You can move all items (except farm cash items ) and place it as you like in my farm. Please be creative. Ok, I'll get started." They should click on "Ok, I'll get started."
6. They will then be given their yellow (green or orange if they have it) hand and will be able to start moving things around.
To end the session, you just need to leave your farm. Once you leave your farm, the permissions given to your friend are revoked.
Finally, here is the memcache link for those who might need it.
