How To Build Your Own House
As we have had the Freestyle Designer Tool (Hands), for a few weeks now, I have noticed that many members are becoming more adventurous with their designing. Therefore, I decided to create this document with accompanying photo album to help you to build the illusion of a house.

Materials suggested in this doc are a guide only. Once you get the idea of how to build, you can use anything from the store that will fit your requirements. :)
To build your own house, you will need to clear a large area on your chosen farm. (Self built house's tend to be rather big)
Next you will need to gather the materials you will need. Colours are an individual choice, and the pictures that I have done to go along with this Docoument, will show the items in contrasting colours in order to help you see how it is done.
Shopping List.
To keep your lines straight:
White Lines (Fun): 3-4 of both directions.
Garden Wooden Pillar (Fences): 6-8.
Roof:
Square Cobblestone Paths,Cobblestone Path Corners, (Point to the left and point to the right) (Paths/Grounds)
Side Wall:
Square Pink Petals Paths, Pink Petals Path Corners, (Point to the left and point to the right)(Paths/Grounds)
Front Wall:
Four Stacked Brown Sacks, (Farm Decor), Stone Bench's, (Furniture)
Windows:
Lattice Fancy Gate, (Fences)
Door:
White Wooden Gate, (Fences)
Chimneys, Stone Lantern, (Other)

Once you have gathered the required materials, you can then start to build your house.
Starting at the top, lay the Cobblestone paths for the roof. The house I built in the pics, has 8 square paths, in each line. To do the next line, put the path square directly under the end one and then move it one space to the left. (see picture 2 in the House Build Album). Continue to do the same for each line. I did 6 lines.
Now, you can continue to proceed with the back of the roof on the "pink wall side" of the house. For this I used cobblestone path corners with the point towards the right, curve to the left. Place your first one of these corners, next to the roof end at the top (on the left) as if it is another square one being added to the line. Do the same with the next one but before you place it move it one space towards the front of the roof. Continue to do this with 2 more of the corners, So that you have 4 corner paths at the left hand side of the roof apex, which will form the back of the roof illusion. (Picture 2).
Now for the back edge of the pink wall. For this I used the pink path corners (showing on the left of the materials picture). Place the first one, by going 1 space down in a straight line from the bottom one on the roof at the back, (this is where the pillars come in to keep the line straight)(Picture 2-3). Keep placing these until your building is high enough.

You will now continue to the front corner of the houe. Place 1 pink petals path square next to the bottom line of roof, (picture 2). Take the other pink petals path corner, (point to the left, curve to the right) and place it next to the square pink one you have already placed, flat sides together. Now using these corners go down 1 space at a time following the line of pillars till you reach the desired height. Join these two with a line of squares to form the base of the house, using the white chalk line to keep you straight again. (Picture 3)
Now to build the front wall of the house, this is the easy part. :) Put down your chalk lines to meet the pillars coming down from the right side corner of the roof, (picture 3). Now place your four stacked brown sacks along the chalk line and up the pillar line till you reach the roof corner. There wasnt that easy.

You can now fill in the end wall with pink petal path squares, and then continue with the front of the house with the four stacked brown sacks.
Windows and doors can be a little fiddly to fit in, as with some you have to remove some of your sacks or they sink through. To use the fancy lattice gates for windows as I have, you will need to remove 4 stacks of sacks for each one and fill in with single sacks down the side. I will leave the finished house on my farm 2 if anyone wants to visit it.
